SMOKED A HARLEY WITH LITTLE EFFORT

-------------------------- -------------------------- -------------------------- --

On the way home from dinner, I was at the stoplight, and a thin, middle aged guy on a modified Dyna pulled along side me in my lane. The first thing I noticed was that we wore NO PROTECTIVE GEAR, whatsoever. There is no helmet law in Texas, which I like.

2008 Suzuki B King - First Ride Review

Torque, as most riders know, is your friend and more, the better.

This gives powerful than the satisfaction of motorcycles at low rpm launch of a judgement, without much noise and fury. This is what propels you around this truck on the international law, without a downshift.

And that is what any new Suzuki B-King in buckets.

Of course, this should not surprise, as the over-the-Top B-King's closest cousin in the engine compartment is none other than Suzuki above sportbike Hayabusa, a motorcycle fastest production on the planet . In fact, the engines within two 1340cc bikes are almost identical, with the B-King only getting specifications bent valve to increase low-end torque.

With his seat, standing wide handlebar and get it done engine, the B-King is a serious puppy romping in his chosen element, which in this case is an afternoon walk in high-speed highways of Los Angeles and winding Backroads of the mountains of Malibu.

As might be expected, few other bikes make a short work on a highway ramp or a rapid gas only fast lane-passer. What really impressed, however, is how the King himself Treaty once the Interstate you put in your rearview mirror.

The B-King's enormous under the exhaustClimbing strong, twisty Stunt Road on the way to Mulholland Highway, cycling and ergonomics to leave second gear motor surprisingly agile make a work of sculpture on the road. And if it is the leverage of large handlebar or low center of gravity, the B-King feels much lighter than its so-called dry weight of 518 pounds.

Of course, you can not talk about the BK without commenting on the parts of the motorcycle that you do not see while riding-it style. If the remarks of the other stops throughout the afternoon are any indication, this is a bike you attend, either love or hate. The view from the rear, dominated by its huge double exhaust in the cans, is particularly polarization, but the entire bike definitively turns the line 11.

For information on the B-King starts at $ 12899, $ 900 or more of its Hayabusa stablemate. An extra $ 600 buys you ABS, for a more streetable same package.

At the end, judging on this bike style alone would be a mistake. The happy couple-engine, all day and a little comfort seats sport position to make an impressive and capable streetbike.

The 2008 Suzuki B King Motorcycle

After much speculation and years of waiting, the 2008 Suzuki B-King has finally been established. The style is very close to the original concept motorcycle. Suzuki received so much interest and support for the design has been given the green light for production.

The engine is directly from the new Hayabusa and nowhere in the specifications or features do we read the dreaded "listening to mid-range", it is the engine Hayabusa in the B-King chassis. It is, however, the S-DMS (Suzuki Drive Mode Selector), which allows the rider to choose between two different engine parameters depending on conditions or preferences rider, perhaps the pilot must choose mid-range power 's he wants.

Let's see, an enormous power in a chassis with an aggressive style, has… Yamaha wait too long to introduce a new V-Max?

Ride Review - Suzuki B King

Good Breeding always says, and perhaps even mostly-with musclebikes.

One of our favorite all-time high displacement sports platforms, the powerful Suzuki Hayabusa, provided the foundation on which the B-King was built. But while the B-King faithfully book "Busa-like brutal power, it has a relaxed, upright driving position and ease of handling results.

Although his style bold May not be for everyone, a twist of the throttle from anywhere in the 11,000-rev range rpm is all that is necessary to win the allegiance. The engine runs offset silky highway at a speed and maintains a degree of control in high-vibration systems. Buttery-action transfer smoothly through the six gearbox, very little transmission Lash, well mapped fuel injection and a super-linear power supply propulsion create perfection.
BKing
How to propel your machine directly into the performance-class standard? Easy, just drop in a 1340cc engine Hayabusa virtually unchanged.

Bking
Available B-King regimes are coloured grey / Silver (photo) or black / black mat. ABS option adds $ 600 to the standard cycling MSRP $ 12899.

The dragstrip is where the B-King reigns supreme between performance standards. If you are in power-Wheelies, simply pin the throttle at low speed regimes in the first and cling tight that the front wheel takes off when the tachometer needle sweeps past 7000 rpm. Tire-smoking burnouts? Well, this bike is king!

Sportbike quality KYB fork and single rear shock offer adjustable spring preload, compression and rebound damping to enhance the versatility of cycling. The factory settings provided a good balance of the canyon highway and cruise both the sculpture with my 170-pound carcass in the saddle. The suspension is the respect of Class A dipping joints slab, allowing long highway stints in comfort. At speeds legal protection against the wind is adequate, providing good coverage from the chest down while allowing a flow undisturbed to the head and shoulders. Limited fuel ranging from 4.4 gallons tank May be the only factor impeding the B-King-The great potential of tourism. On one occasion, I literally sputtered in a service station after only 155 kilometers of highway especially riding.

The chassis is easily the height of Backroads burning sensation, providing a lot of turns and clearance before launching back-to a machine weight to 582 pounds fully fueled. Although leverage through its low height gives a tubular handlebar steering feel lighter than the stub-barred "Busa, the B-King of the size and weight are obvious, especially at low speed. This is not a ballerina.

Yet there has never been a better time to become a student B. Spend time aboard the B-King, you will come to understand his strange name, though you come in May with your own interpretation. Ours is Big Bad ballistic Bomber.

Responding to Hayabusa the first cousin-the brand new B-King.

And while the Hayabusa is an elegant sophisticate, the B-King is his boisterous alter ego. His aggressive style gives him an attitude that says simply, Do not mess with me.

With a slightly modified version of the 2008 Hayabusa new engine, supplemented by state-of-the-art chassis and suspension systems, the B-King offers incredible all around capabilities - breathtaking acceleration coupled with precision handling.

The differences in performance between the two bikes are minimal. The B-King has its own valve dimensions to produce good, strong extraordinarily low power. And it has unique chassis components, as its finely designed swingarm.

The real difference is style. The B-King's impressive engine is there for everyone to see. A glance at its two exhaust pipes enough to know he has the power to reward you with a one-of-a-kind sport riding experience.

The new B-King-you 've never ridden something like that.
